Moscow’s Russian Winter Festival
25 December to 5 January 2014
The Russian Winter Festival is Moscow’s biggest winter festival that puts together the celebration of Russian Christmas, Russian New Year and Syyatki or Russian Christmastide. This festival celebrating Russian culture is one of the best ways to enjoy Moscow if you travel there during this time. During this Festival, many different events in different places will be held such as at Izmailovo Park and the more central Revolution Square which will feature folk music performances, dancing, games, crafts, food, and much more.
Discovering Moscow from the water is an excellent way to see Moscow in a completely different way. Approaching the city’s most famous sights by water allows you to see them straight away from the best vantage points, and you can sit back and enjoy the views without the distraction of trying to negotiate unfamiliar streets in what can sometimes be an overwhelming city. This is the
perfect, relaxing way to start your visit to this bustling metropolis.
