Pablo Picasso in Moscow
Pushkin Fine Arts Museum February 25 to May 23
An exhibition of one of the most expensive artists of the 20th century Pablo Picasso will be held in Moscow in the framework of the Year of France in Russia.
His works brought from the capital of France, are part of the collection of the Paris Picasso Museum, which is now closed for repair.
The exhibition to be held in the Pushkin Fine Arts Museum from February 25 to May 23 will present the best series of works of both the early, “blue” period, and the late, postwar period. Apart from painting and graphic works the exposition will include ceramics and sculpture by Pablo Picasso.
The exhibition is also interesting for the fact that the exhibits brought from Paris will be integrated with art objects from the collection of the Pushkin Fine Arts Museum. The exposition will be supplemented with photos from the artist’s archive
